Americanization is when different countries around the world adopt aspects of the culture of the United States of America. This can include such things as language, food, clothing, music, movies, television shows, and even customs and traditions. For example, many countries today celebrate Thanksgiving, which is an American holiday, or they listen to American music, watch American movies, and wear American clothing brands. Americanization can also involve something called 'cultural imperialism', which is when the culture of the United States is imposed on other countries, either through the use of economic or military power.
