Andes

The Andes Mountains are a long chain of mountains located in South America. They are the longest mountain range in the world, stretching almost 4000 miles down the side of the continent. The Andes are really high, separating coastal regions from the interior of South America. Many animals, plants, and people live in the Andes, and the mountains provide many resources like rocks and minerals that are mined and used for building things. The Andes are also an important source of water, which is used for farming and drinking in many nearby towns and cities.
