Archaeological illustration

Archaeological illustration is when an artist draws what something was like in the past. Archaeologists use these drawings to help them study the past and learn more about it. For example if an archaeologist finds ruins of an old building, they may draw it in detail to show what it might have looked like when it was first built. They also use illustrations to record what they find in their excavations so they can remember it later.
