Archaeological plan

Hello little one! Today, we're going to talk about something called an "archaeological plan".

When grown-ups want to learn about things that happened a long time ago, they become archaeologists. These archaeologists look for clues left behind by people who lived long ago. They might find old tools, bones or even buildings.

When an archaeologist finds something interesting, they don't just grab it and go. They need to be careful and make sure they understand where the thing they found was located. That's where an archaeological plan comes in.

An archaeological plan is a map of the ground where the archaeologist is working. The archaeologist draws the features they find (like building foundations or walls) on the plan, and marks where they found things like pottery or bones. Over time, they'll build up a map of the area that tells them a story about how people lived there long ago.

It's important to create an archaeological plan because it helps the archaeologist to understand the relationships between different objects and structures they might find. It also helps them to figure out what might have happened in the past.

So, that's what an archaeological plan is, little one. It's like a special map that helps archaeologists to figure out what life was like in the past.
