Astures

Well kiddo, Astures are a group of people who lived a long time ago in a place called Asturias. Asturias is a region in northern Spain, near the ocean. The Astures were very special and unique because they had their own language and culture that was different from the people who lived around them.

They were very good at fighting and defending themselves from other groups of people who wanted to take their land. They were also very skilled at mining and making things out of metal, like weapons and tools. They even made a special kind of sword that was very famous and called a "gladius Asturicus".

The Astures were also known for being very brave and for doing things their own way. They didn't like to follow the rules of the Romans who came to their land and tried to take over. They fought against the Romans for a long time and even though they eventually lost the war, they were admired for their courage and spirit.

Today, the Astures are still remembered as a very important part of the history of Asturias and Spain. People there are proud of their heritage and continue to celebrate and honor the Astures and their way of life.
