Atlantic Charter

The Atlantic Charter was a very important agreement made between two countries during World War II. It was made between the leaders of the United States and Great Britain. The two leaders wanted to make sure that after the war ended, everyone would have peace and be able to live in freedom. They agreed that all the countries in the world would have the right to choose their own government and keep their independence. They also said that countries should not be allowed to take over other countries or try to take away peoples' rights. They said that everyone should have the same opportunities to get food, jobs, and education so that everyone would have a better life.
