ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Australian rodeo

Australian rodeo is like a big game where cowboys and cowgirls ride big animals like horses and bulls to try and stay on for as long as possible. The animals are sometimes very big and strong and can be tricky to ride, kind of like a carnival ride but with live animals.

The cowboys and cowgirls wear special clothes and hats called "chaps" and "cowboy hats," and they use special ropes to help them stay on the animals while they try to buck them off.

The animals also wear special gear to keep them safe, like padded saddles and protective gear.

Australian rodeos are very exciting for people to watch, but it's important for everyone to remember to be safe and kind to the animals. Participants and spectators should always treat the animals with respect and follow the rules set in place to make sure everyone has a fun and safe time.
