Automated vacuum collection is like a big straw that sucks up all the garbage in one big swoop.
You know how you have to throw your garbage into a trash can, and sometimes it smells and it's gross? Well, instead of having lots of trash cans on the street, you have one big underground container.
When you need to throw your garbage away, you go to one of these things called inlets. These are just special holes in the ground that lead to the big container. You put your garbage into the inlet, and then a big fan turns on and sucks it down below.
Once the garbage is underground, it gets sorted and separated, like recycling paper and plastic. Then, a truck comes along and takes the garbage out of the container and brings it to the right place.
Automated vacuum collection keeps the streets clean and makes it easier to get rid of garbage. Plus, it helps the environment because it encourages recycling!
