Award

An award means that someone is being recognized for doing something really well or being super awesome. Just like when you get a gold star for doing a great job in school or if the coach picks you as the MVP for your game. It's a way of saying "Yay, you did an amazing job!" and letting everyone know that you deserve to be praised. People can get awards for all sorts of things, like being a good athlete, artist, or even just being a really great friend to someone. So if someone you know gets an award, be sure to give them a big high-five and tell them how proud you are of them!
