ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Axle

An axle is like the backbone of a car or a bike. Just like how we need our backbone to stand up straight and move around, a car or a bike needs an axle to move forward. Picture it like this: imagine the two wheels on a bike or a car. They need something to hold them together and keep them in place so they stay straight and don't tilt over. That's where the axle comes in. It's a long stick that goes through both wheels and connects them together.

Now, imagine you want to move the bike or car forward. The axle plays an important role in this too. The wheels spin when the car or bike is moving, but if they're not connected to something, they wouldn't be able to move the car or bike forward. The axle connects the spinning wheels to the car or bike body, which allows the spinning wheels to move the bike or car forward.

So, to put it simply, an axle is like the backbone of a car or bike that connects the wheels together and helps them move the vehicle forward.
