Bioacoustics

Bioacoustics is when people study the sounds animals make. Have you ever heard a bird chirp or a dog bark? Those are all sounds that animals make. People who study bioacoustics listen to these sounds and try to understand what they mean.

They use special machines to record the sounds that animals make. These machines can catch sounds that our ears can't hear. Then, they listen to the recordings and try to figure out what the animal is saying.

Scientists who study bioacoustics can learn a lot about animals by listening to their sounds. They can see how animals communicate with each other or how they use sounds to find food or mates. They can even use bioacoustics to figure out what types of animals are living in different areas.
