Bribery

Bribery is when someone gives someone else money, gifts, or other valuable things in exchange for them to do something they wouldn't usually do. For example, if someone offered you candy if you stayed quiet in the library, that would be bribery. It can also be against the law. Some people might give politicians or people in positions of power bribes to get them to make certain decisions that benefit the person giving the bribe. Bribery is bad and illegal because it means people have to pay to get special treatment while people who can't afford it don't get the same opportunities.
