Broadband Wireless Access

Broadband wireless access means using the internet by sending information wirelessly through the air, instead of using a cable or telephone line like we do at home. It's sort of like how we can talk to our friends without having to use a phone cord, but with internet instead of talking.

Imagine you're playing a game on your tablet and you want to send a message to your friend. This is made possible because there are towers that send out signals called radio waves that can be picked up by devices like your tablet or phone. These towers are placed in different locations and can cover a certain area where people can connect to the internet wirelessly.

So, if you go to a coffee shop and connect to their Wi-Fi, you're basically using broadband wireless access. You don't have to plug in a cable to use the internet – instead, your device is picking up signals being sent from the coffee shop's wireless router.
