Bulgars

Bulgars are group of people who used to live in what is now Bulgaria a long, long time ago. They were known for being really good at riding horses and fighting in battles. The Bulgars were so skilled on horseback that they were able to conquer a lot of other groups of people and form their own kingdom which lasted for hundreds of years. Nowadays, the Bulgars are mostly remembered for their important role in history and for the country of Bulgaria, which was named after them.
