Bulkhead (partition)

A bulkhead, also called a partition, is like a big wall inside a larger space. Imagine if your room was split into two smaller rooms with a big wall, the wall would be a bulkhead or partition. It helps separate different areas and compartments from each other so that they don't mix together. For example, in a ship, bulkheads are used to create separate compartments so that water can't flood the whole ship if there's a hole in one area. Or in an office building, bulkheads are used to separate different offices or workspaces so that people can work without being disrupted by noise or distractions from other areas. Essentially, a bulkhead creates barriers to keep things separate and organized.
