Business rules engine

A business rules engine is like a set of instructions for a computer to follow. It's like a robot or robot brain that automates decisions and processes that are repetitive. The instructions tell the robot what to do, when to do it, and what to do next. For example, if someone fills out a form, the business rules engine could be used to automatically send them an email with a link to the next step.
