Bystander effect

The bystander effect is when a person notices someone in trouble, but doesn't help because other people are around. It usually happens when there are a lot of people around, because people think that since there are so many people, someone else will help. So instead of helping, people tend to not do anything or ignore the situation. This means that the person in need does not get help when it is needed.
