Cachaça

Okay kiddo, have you ever heard of a drink called rum? Cachaça is kind of like rum but it's made in Brazil instead of the Caribbean.

Cachaça is made using sugar cane juice that has been fermented and distilled, which means it is heated up to make it into a liquid.

The Brazilian government only allows cachaça to be made in Brazil, so it's a really special drink for the country. It's also an important part of Brazilian culture and is used in a lot of their traditional drinks like the Caipirinha.

When you try cachaça, it might taste a little bit like sugar and fruit, but also quite strong. It's not something that kids can drink because it has alcohol in it, so it's only for grown-ups.

Did that help you understand what cachaça is, little one?
