ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Canadian pound

So, you know how we use dollars to buy things, right? Well, in Canada, they used to use a different kind of money called the Canadian pound. But don't worry, it's not actually a big heavy pound like the ones you might lift in the gym. It's just a special word they used to describe their money.

Anyway, people in Canada used the Canadian pound a long time ago, before they started using dollars like we do now. Back then, they had coins and bills just like we do, but their money was worth a different amount than our money.

Nowadays, though, Canada doesn't use the Canadian pound anymore. They use something called the Canadian dollar, which is more similar to the money we use here. So, if you ever go to Canada, you can use your dollars to buy things just like you would at home!
