ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Career counseling

Career counseling is a fancy term for someone who helps you figure out what kind of job you might want to do when you grow up. Kind of like a teacher, but instead of helping you with school work, they help you with work work.

The career counselor will ask you lots of questions about what you like to do and what you're good at. They might give you quizzes or tests to help you figure out what jobs might be a good match for you.

They'll also talk to you about your goals and dreams, and help you figure out how to get there. For example, if you want to be an astronaut, they'll tell you about what kind of education and training you'll need.

The career counselor is like your own personal guide to the world of work. They help you choose a path that you're excited about and help you get on track to make it happen.
