Certification of voting machines

Voting machines are machines that are used to make it easier for people to cast their votes during elections. Certification means that a third party – an independent group – has tested the voting machine and made sure it is working properly and accurately. This is important to make sure that the votes are counted correctly and nobody can change the results.
