Cherry picking

Cherry picking is when you pick only the best parts or pieces of something or a group of things. For example, if you're picking fruit, you might choose only the biggest and brightest cherries and leave behind the smaller or less-ripe cherries. You're taking only the best of what's available. You can do this with different things, like ideas, decisions, or facts. You can also cherry pick people, like when you pick the best players for a sports team.
