ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Christian feminism

Okay kiddo, so you know how some people believe in God and Jesus, and others don't? Well, Christian feminists are people who believe in God and Jesus, but they also believe that men and women should be equal and treated with the same respect and opportunities.

You see, sometimes in the past, people thought that men were better than women at certain things, like being leaders or making important decisions. But Christian feminists believe that God created both men and women in His image, so they should both have the same chances to be leaders, make decisions, and do whatever they want with their lives.

They also think that some parts of religion can be unfair to women. For example, some Bible verses might seem to say that women should always obey their husbands or that women can't be priests. But Christian feminists believe that those verses might have been written during a time when women didn't have as many rights and opportunities as they do now. They think that God loves all people equally, no matter their gender, and that everyone should have a chance to serve God in whatever way they feel called to do.

So basically, Christian feminism means believing in God and Jesus, but also fighting for women's rights and equality. It's like saying, "I love God, but I also believe that women should have the same chances in life as men do."
