Civil Rights Act of 1968

The Civil Rights Act of 1968 is a law that was passed by Congress in the United States in 1968. It was designed to make sure that everyone, no matter what their race, their religion, or their sex, has the same rights in America. It helps make sure that everyone is not discriminated against because of their race, religion, or sex, and they can get the same services and the same opportunities as everyone else. For example, it says that you cannot be denied a job or an apartment because of your race, religion, or sex. It also makes sure everyone has the same rights when buying a house or getting an education.
