Climate change in the United States

Climate change in the United States is a big problem. It means that the temperature of the Earth is warming up and it's happening faster than ever before. This warming is due to people burning fossil fuels like coal, gas and oil. When these fuels are burned, they release gases called greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. These gases trap heat and make the Earth's temperature warm up even more. This affects weather patterns all over the United States, making hurricanes and storms more severe, bringing hotter and drier summers, and making extreme weather like floods and droughts more likely. The warming climate can also hurt plants and animals by making them have to move to new places where it's cooler, or find new sources of food. So climate change is definitely a very serious problem and everyone needs to work together to help make things better.
