ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Coach (carriage)

A coach is like a really old kind of car that people used to travel in a long time ago. It was a fancy carriage that was pulled by horses. Imagine going for a ride in a fancy wagon with big wheels and a roof to keep you sheltered.

The coach was a popular form of transportation in the 1700s and 1800s, especially in Europe. Rich people would use it to travel from one place to another and show off their wealth. Sometimes the coach was used for special occasions like weddings or funerals.

The coach was decorated with beautiful designs and had comfortable seats inside. There were usually two horses pulling the coach, and a coachman would sit in the front to direct the horses. The coachman would dress in a fancy uniform and a hat.

Today, coaches are not used as much anymore because we have cars and other modern modes of transportation. But you can still see them in parades or reenactments to show what life was like in the past.
