Coal pollution mitigation

Well kiddo, did you know that coal is a kind of rock that people use to make electricity? But when we burn coal, it can make some bad stuff called pollution that can hurt the environment and people’s health. That’s why we need to do something to make the air cleaner and healthier.

Coal pollution mitigation means finding ways to reduce the pollution caused by burning coal. One way is to use something called “scrubbers” that can clean the coal plant’s smokestacks. These scrubbers can remove the bad particles that can harm the air and make people sick.

Another way to reduce coal pollution is to use something called “carbon capture and storage”. This means catching the carbon dioxide gas (which is also a type of pollution) before it gets into the air and storing it in a safe place underground.

We can also try to use less coal and more renewable energy sources that don’t produce as much pollution, like wind and solar power.

So, if we take these steps to reduce coal pollution, we can help keep the air clean and healthy for everyone.
