Coastal erosion

Coastal erosion is when the land near the ocean erodes away, or washes away, like when the waves keep crashing against the shore. It happens because water is powerful and over time can wear away the beach or cliff. The wind and rain can also help wear away the land. Coastal erosion happens slowly, but over many years, it can change the shape of beaches and cliffs and change the land around them.
