Cold front

Okay kiddo, let's talk about cold fronts! Imagine you are outside playing on a really hot day and suddenly you feel a gust of cool air sweep past you. That's what a cold front feels like.

A cold front happens when a mass of chilly air moves in and pushes out a warmer mass of air. It's kind of like a game of Red Rover, except instead of kids, it's air masses.

When the cold air mass meets the warm air mass, it creates a boundary between them. This boundary is called a front. It's like two different teams playing against each other, but they're both made of air.

The cold air is denser than the warm air, which means it's heavier and wants to push the warm air up and out of the way. As the warm air rises, it cools and forms clouds. These clouds can bring all kinds of weather, like rain, thunderstorms, or even snow if it's really cold.

So, to sum up, a cold front is when a team of chilly air comes in and bumps a team of warm air out of the way, creating a boundary or front between them. This boundary can bring all kinds of wild weather!
