Commutator (electric)

A commutator is a part of an electric motor. It's like a switch that helps to make the motor work. It takes the electricity that is coming into the motor, and it switches it around so that the motor rotates in the right direction. Without the commutator, the motor wouldn't be able to do its job, and it would be broken.
