Correlation function

Correlation is a way of measuring how two things are related to each other. The correlation function is a special type of math equation that can be used to measure the level of correlation between two things. When two things have a lot of correlation, it means that when one thing changes, the other also changes in a similar way. For example, if you had two pieces of data that showed temperatures on different days and you used the correlation function to measure them, it would tell you how closely related the temperatures were. If the numbers were high, it would mean that the temperatures on those two days were closely related; if the numbers were low, it would mean the temperatures were not very closely related to each other.
