Creation and evolution in public education

Creation and evolution are two different ideas about how people and the world around us came to be. Creation is the idea that a powerful being created the world and everything in it, while evolution suggests that the world and all the things in it developed over time from simpler forms. In public education, teachers and schools discuss and teach about both creation and evolution because it is important for students to understand these two different ideas about how our world came to be.
