Cremains, also known as cremated remains, are what's left when a body is cremated. When someone dies, they often choose to be cremated instead of being buried in a traditional coffin. That means their body is put into a special machine called a cremation chamber that gets really, really hot. The chamber turns the body into ashes and small bone fragments, which are then collected in a container and given to the family of the person who died. These ashes are the cremains. People often choose to keep the cremains in an urn or scatter them in a special place that was meaningful to the person who passed away.
