Culture lag

Culture lag is when changes in one area of society, like technology, happen faster than changes in other areas like laws or customs. For example, if you have a new technology like phones that can do amazing things, but the laws or customs don't catch up, there will be a lag between the way people can use the phones and the way they are allowed to.
