ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Customer switching

Hello kiddo! Okay, so you know when you go to the store with your mom, and she buys something from a store she normally doesn't go to? That's kinda like customer switching.

See, sometimes grown-ups like to buy things from different places. They might go to a new store if they're looking for something specific, or if they see an ad for a sale. Customers switching just means they're choosing to buy from a different store instead of the one they usually go to.

Now, stores don't like when customers switch because they want people to keep coming back and buying stuff from them. So they try to make sure their customers are happy by offering good prices, good quality things, and good service.

But sometimes, even if a store does everything right, a customer might still switch to a different store for some reason. It's just something that happens sometimes!
