Data scraping

Data scraping is like when a computer 'looks' at a website to get information. Imagine that you were trying to find out what kind of clothes a store had. You could go to the store and look at all of the clothes on the racks, or you could open up the store's website and it would show you a list of the clothes they carry. Data scraping is like when the computer looks at the website to get that list of clothes. It looks through the website and finds out what kind of clothes the store has, and then puts it into a list or a spreadsheet.
