Data security is a way to protect the data that you keep on your computer and on the internet. Think of data security like a lock on your front door. If you want to keep your house safe, you put a lock on the door and only give the key to those people you trust. Data security works the same way - when you save something, like your email address, bank account number, or a photo, it's stored in a secure place (like a lockbox), and only you have the key. That way, no one else can get to it without your permission.
