Deism

Deism is when someone believes that there is a God or a higher power, but that this higher power doesn't get involved in the everyday lives of people. It is kind of like believing in a watchmaker. Just like a watchmaker created a watch, a higher power created the world, but once the world was created it was left alone to run by itself. People who believe in deism think that you don't need to go to Church or pray to feel connected to God.
