Diarchy

A diarchy is like a government with two rulers. That means there are two leaders who have equal power and make decisions together - kind of like if you and your best friend got to rule a country together! Each leader is responsible for different tasks, and both have to agree with each other before a decision is made. Sometimes diarchies are used when a country is too big for one leader to make all the decisions, or when the people of a country are not able to agree on one leader.
