Diaspora politics is when members of a certain culture who live in another country use political power to fight for and protect the rights of their people wherever they are in the world. It's like when a group of people travel to a different country but they still stay connected to and care about their home country. They may use their new home country's government to try to help their home country in some way. For example, a group of people from India who move to the United States can use their vote and influence in US politics to try to make sure that their home country of India gets the help and support it needs.
