ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Digital subchannel

Okay kiddo, so let's say you have a TV and it can pick up different channels like ABC, NBC, and CBS. Well, each of these channels can actually have more than just one show playing at the same time!

That's where digital subchannels come in. They're like little mini-channels within the main channel. So while ABC might have their regular programming playing on the main channel, they might also have a digital subchannel playing old episodes of "Full House" or "Friends."

It's kinda like having a toy inside a bigger toy! And the cool thing is, you can usually access these digital subchannels just by using your TV's remote and tuning to a different channel number.

So even though it might seem like you only have a few channels to choose from, there are actually lots more shows to discover on those digital subchannels!
