Disability in the arts

Okay kiddo, so disability in the arts is about making sure that people with disabilities can express themselves and be part of the creative world. Sometimes artists might have a hard time seeing or hearing or moving, and that can make it tough for them to make art or be included in things like plays or music performances.

But that doesn't mean they can't be involved! There are lots of ways to adapt things so that artists with disabilities can participate. For example, a dancer who uses a wheelchair might do a routine that incorporates the chair into the movements. Or a musician who is deaf can feel the vibrations of the music and perform accordingly.

It's important for everyone to have the chance to create and share their artwork, no matter what their abilities are. By including people with disabilities in the arts, we can all learn more about each other and appreciate the differences that make us unique.
