Dong Son culture

Dong Son culture is a very old culture from Vietnam, which existed more than 2000 years ago. It was a very important culture because it produced a lot of unique and beautiful things like bronze drums and pottery. This culture was named after the Dong Son village in Vietnam where many important discoveries of its artifacts were made.

The people who belonged to the Dong Son culture were farmers and they lived in small villages. They believed in many gods and used objects like drums and amulets to worship them. They made bronze drums that were decorated with patterns and pictures, and these drums were used for events like weddings and funerals.

The pottery made by the Dong Son culture was also very beautiful. They made pots, jars, and bowls and decorated them with pictures of animals, people, and objects. They also used a special technique for making pottery called "coiling". This involved building up the walls of the pot by adding long snake-like coils of clay on top of each other and then smoothing them out.

Dong Son culture was also very important because it was the beginning of Vietnamese civilization. The people of this culture developed a system of writing that was used to communicate with each other and record important events. They also developed a system for farming and irrigation, which helped them grow crops like rice and corn.

Even today, people still admire the beauty of the Dong Son culture's artifacts and the skills of its people. It is a reminder of Vietnam's rich and ancient history.
