Drums in communication

Imagine you and your friend are in a big jungle where there are no telephones or computers. If you want to communicate with your friend who is far away, how will you do it? One way is to use drums!
Drums are big instruments that make a loud sound when we hit them with our hands or sticks. In the olden days, people used drums to send messages to each other. They would hit the drum in a certain way to make a specific sound, which meant something. For example, one sound could mean danger and another sound could mean come home.
Different tribes or communities had their own drum beats and only people in that tribe knew what each sound meant. This helped them to communicate with each other without having to shout or use words.
It's kind of like having a secret code with your friends where you only understand what your special code means.
Drums are still used in some parts of the world today to send messages, especially in places where there is no internet or phones. Cool, right?
