Eastern Orthodox Christian theology is the beliefs of many Christians who are members of the Eastern Orthodox Church. This includes beliefs about God and Jesus, prayer, and other things. The Eastern Orthodox Church teaches that there is one God with three parts--God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God of the Holy Spirit. God the Father is perfect, all-powerful and all-knowing; Jesus is God's Son and our Savior; and the Holy Spirit is God's spirit that lives within us, helping us to live holy lives and lead us to salvation. Prayer and worship are also important parts of Eastern Orthodox Christian theology, and they involve singing, praying, and reading from the Bible. Eastern Orthodoxy has many traditions of prayer and worship that have been handed down through the centuries. Finally, Eastern Orthodox Christians believe in the resurrection of Jesus and a future life in Heaven with God.
