ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Echo chamber (media)

An echo chamber is when people are exposed to the same ideas or information over and over again, especially in the media. It's like being in a room and hearing yourself talk over and over again, but with different information. This can happen when people only seek out sources that confirm their own ideas, opinions, and beliefs. They become so used to hearing the same types of information that it can impact how they think and act. In this way, echo chambers can limit people's ability to learn new things, come up with new solutions, and interact with people who have different opinions.
