Egyptians

Egyptians were people who lived in a place called Egypt a very long time ago. They were very smart and made lots of things like pyramids, which are big buildings made of rocks, and mummies, which are special ways of preserving dead bodies. They had a special way of writing called hieroglyphics, which used pictures instead of letters. Egyptians had special gods and goddesses they worshipped and they believed in life after death. They also had a special ruler called a pharaoh who was like a king but with even more power. Egyptians were very important to the world because they made many discoveries that helped us today, like calendars and medicine.
