Electrochemical potential

Electrochemical potential is kind of like a measuring stick to tell us how much energy (like electricity) is in different types of things, like a battery or a cell. The electrochemical potential of a battery or cell tells us how much energy it has in it. We can compare different batteries to each other by looking at their electrochemical potential and seeing which one has more energy.
