Electrostatic discharge

Electrostatic discharge is when electricity moves from one place to another really quickly! This can happen when two objects like your clothing and a doorknob have different levels of electrical charges - one good have more electricity built up than the other. When you touch the doorknob, the electricity will jump from the object with more electricity (called static electricity) to the one with less. This movement of electricity is electrostatic discharge!
