Empowerment

Empowerment is when you are given the power, or the ability, to make decisions and do things that influence your own life. It means you have the ability to do something and make those decisions without someone else telling you what to do. For example, you can make choices about what to wear, what hobbies to do, and where to go for vacations. All by yourself! It is about having control and having the freedom to make those choices.
